On Ordinance No. 8 of 1868.
I have examined the accompanying Ordinance entitled "The Tramways Ordinance, 1883," and I am of opinion that the Ordinance is one which is not contrary to the Governor's Instructions.
The object of this Ordinance is to authorize the construction and to regulate the maintenance and working of certain tramways in the Colony.
In its general outline, this Ordinance is identical with Ordinance 1 of 1882; but amendments and new provisions have been introduced...
